First Moroccan worker rights’ study in Jordan

Change Academy for Democratic and Development Studies will announce the results of Moroccan females rights in Jordan during a press conference into first study to shed the light on this category of workers.

This study is one part of the proper work project that is undertaken by the International Association for Workers Education Organizations in the Arabian Area which focus on organizational and legislative laws for Moroccan workers in Jordan as Human Rights Center in Morocco has prepared a study about Moroccan females’ rights in Morocco.

This study is divided into two parts: the first is protecting Moroccan female workers’ rights in light of national and international legislations within Jordan’s obligation to authenticate the prominent international human rights agreements and accords such as the international accord for political and civilian rights, the international accord for economic, social, and cultural rights, and eliminating all kinds of discrimination against woman agreement, among other international agreements, as well as those agreements pertaining private work issued by the International Labour Organization.

The second part of this study is all about preparing personal and statistical interviews with Moroccan workers in the kingdom.

The results will be announced by the General Secretary of the International Association for Workers Education Organizations in the Arabian Area Mr. Hasan Barghouthi from Palestine and Human Rights Center President in Morocco Jamal AL-Shahedi as well as the President of Change Academy for Democratic and Development Studies Kamal Al-Mashreqi from Jordan.

The Ministry of Interior has put new regulations in 2007 regarding Moroccan workers’ entry to Jordan within new laws that means in a way or another that they are not allowed to enter.

The number of Moroccan female workers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is around 30,000, according to the Ministry of Interior.
