Wehdat lose to Mansheya 3-0; Shafi banned for year
The disciplinary committee at the Jordanian Football Association has decided to consider Al-Wehdat Football Club defeated against Al-Mansheya 3-0.
This decision came in light of the rules and regulations stating that if a player assaulted any of the refereeing team, his club shall considered defeated 3-0 regardless with the actual result of the match, and the assaulter shall be banned for 365 days, in addition to paying JD2000 fine.
Al-Wehdat and their guests Al-Mansheya played to a 1-1 draw in the opening match of their Jordanian league second leg encounter until referee Adham Makhadmeh whistled for a corner kick. Al-Wehdat goalkeeper Amer Shafi attacked the referee, according to his final report, who blew his final whistle before the end of the added time.
Al-Wehdat paid JD2000 fine and their international goalkeeper Amer Shafi has been banned for a year following the final report submitted by the referee.
