Jordanian Armed Forces: 10 Iranian Ballistic Missiles Intercepted and Destroyed After Entering Jordanian Airspace

The official spokesperson fo the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, announced that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan had come under a missile attack in recent hours originating from Iranian territory.

The spokesperson said that Jordan’s air defence systems engaged 13 ballistic missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace, successfully intercepting and destroying 10 of them, while three missiles landed in remote areas away from populated centres.

He explained that the response to the attack was carried out in accordance with established operational procedures. No casualties or loss of life were reported, while specialised teams began securing the sites where the debris and projectiles fell and taking the necessary measures to ensure public safety.

The Jordanian Armed Forces urged citizens not to approach, touch or move any unidentified objects or debris, and to immediately notify the relevant authorities if they come across them. The public was also urged to avoid circulating unverified information and to rely on official statements issued by the competent authorities.

The Jordanian Armed Forces said its units and formations continue to carry out their duties around the clock, while surveillance and air defence systems remain on alert to respond to any threat, safeguard the Kingdom’s security, protect its citizens and preserve the sovereignty of its airspace.

The Armed Forces added that they are continuing to monitor and assess developments and will announce any information or updates requiring public notification through official channels.
