Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho conceded that he is deeply concerned by his team's lack of goals following their 0-0 stalemate with Levante on Saturday evening.

Despite the best efforts of his Blancos players, their newly-promoted opponents stood firm and held out for a well-earned point, but the visitors missed a whole host of chances and will feel disappointed that they did not get the victory.

A noticeably agitated Mourinho commented to journalists afterwards: “I am concerned that no goals have materialised given the amount of attacking football and the opportunities we have had. It is not normal to need so many opportunities.

“We have created chances against every team we have faced this season, and against Levante we have had so many but did not score. Not scoring has lost us four points, including the Mallorca match, and although the team is very solid at the back, with one goal conceded in six games, we have controlled every match and have not scored.

“It is not due to the quality of the players. We all know that the players create a number of goals throughout the season. We want to win every time. Every point you earn is one more, but in this case we are not happy with the point.”

The Portuguese coach also commented on his belief that the opposition were playing in an overly aggressive manner, remarking: “I’m happy that no one is in the hospital because it seemed that they had a problem. They were a team who did not want to play.”
