Mahadeen, Tal before criminal court on Tuesday
الرابط المختصر

Political activist Sufian Al-Tal and journalist Muwaffaq Mahadeen shall be brought before the criminal court on Tuesday morning in a new session that deals with the charges they face due to law cases by retired military men.

The court shall be held under the jurisdictions of judge Naser Al-Salamat and the membership of judge Mathkour Al-Lozi.

Retired military men have pressed charges in February 2010 against Mahadeen and Al-Tal for insulting the army and martyrs blood following statements by both of them after Khost explosion that lead to the killing of seven American CIA officers and Jordanian officer Ali bin Zaid.

The State Security Court prosecutor has decided then to apprehend them both for 15 days for investigation before approving to set release them on bail six days later.

The State Security Court prosecutor has sent the case back to Amman general prosecution after the Press and Publications Law was issued that states that press and publications case should be referred to the regular courts.
