Jordanian traditional costumes towards tourism markets
During a ceremony in the event of the International Woman's Day, and under the patronage of Maha Khatib, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities, a grant by Tourism Development Project in Jordan (2) funded by U.S. Agency for International Development was given to the Society for Development and Rehabilitation of the Rural Woman SDRRW as part of the project's support for Jordanian hand crafts and in order to enable Jordanian women in the rural society to work.
"This project shall give help to women in rural society to participate in developing Jordan in the field of tourism by using their skills we inherited from our ancestors" Maha Khatib, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities said, "tourism is a good chance for societies and for women in particular to increase income and living circumstances for families from one side, and to show our traditional treasures for foreigners coming from all over the world" she added.
