Former head of lawyers association Saleh Armouti has told Ammannet that there is no article in the constitution or the elections law that considers boycotting elections a crime, agreements Jordan has signed guarantee the freedom of expression, he added. Prime Minister Samir Rifai has guaranteed that the government will make sure the enforcement of law is going to be the only standard in covering the upcoming elections in all its different steps. Rifai has also expressed his will to see all parties participating at the elections without any boycotting. In response to prime Minister's statements that the government will take procedures against any one calling for boycotting the elections, Armouti said that it is called an intellectual terrorism and it is against freedom of thinking and expression that is guaranteed to locals by law.
