Abu Al-Sukkar: Election boycotting changes if laws change

Shura Council President at the Islamic Action Front, engineer Ali Abu Al-Sukkar, has reiterated that the shura council is the only part that has the authority to reconsider the stand of elections, while confirming that the party will go on boycotting the upcoming elections as long as the reasons due which this decision was taken is being changed, the changing of the election law is on the top of theses reasons.

Abu Al-Sukkar has stressed in his statement today that the council shall not hold any meeting and the decision regarding boycotting 2010 elections shall not be reconsidered as long as there are no strong justifications to do so.

It is decided that Prime Minister Samir Rifai will meet next Saturday with a delegation of the Islamic Action Front to discuss the party's points of view and position about the elections.

The General Secretary of the Islamic Action Front, Hamzah Mansour, has commented on this prospective meeting by saying that the party is looking forward to this meeting to know what does the government has to offer and our final decision will be taken according to it.
