Sobeihi's death was initially reported a suicide, but his father has recently brought forth the charge against the General Security Service that his son was actually tortured and killed, and that the Service has concealed the details of Sobeihi's death, and further demands that the case be re-opened for investigation. A committee on human rights is currently investigating the issue.
