Jordanian Air Defenses Shoot Down 20 Missiles Launched From Iran

The Jordan Armed Forces announced that 20 missiles launched from Iran toward the Azraq area in Zarqa Governorate were intercepted and shot down early Thursday.

A military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces stated that Jordan's air defense systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft successfully intercepted and destroyed the missiles before they reached their intended destination.

The source said the interception operation resulted in the fall of several fragments, but no injuries or material damage were reported. Engineering teams were dispatched to deal with the missile debris and ensure that no explosive materials remained inside the remnants.

The source emphasized that the Jordan Armed Forces are closely monitoring ongoing regional developments and are operating at the highest levels of readiness to protect the Kingdom's airspace, defend its sovereignty, and safeguard its territory. He stressed that Jordan will not allow any violation of its airspace by any party under any circumstances.
