Registration is required to participate in the conference activities.

The conference marks the 25th anniversary of “AmmanNet,” the first online and community radio station in the Arab world. The event is expected to attract around 300 participants from Jordan and abroad, including more than 50 international guests representing the media, civil society, academia, and policymakers.

The conference aims to highlight the vital role of community media in promoting transparency, empowering marginalized groups, and supporting social change. It will also address the legal and financial challenges facing the sector and explore pathways to sustainability and stronger collaboration with civil society.

The conference agenda will revolve around four main themes:

  1. Empowering communities by amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups in traditional media.
  2. Advocating for legal reforms to ensure the independence and continuity of community media.
  3. Engaging with civil society to build an open and supportive media environment.
  4. Enhancing financial sustainability through innovative and lasting funding models.

The Community Media Network welcomes proposals from institutions interested in organizing special sessions within the conference, with logistical support and inclusion in the official program.

This event represents a pivotal moment to reimagine the future of community media in the region, expanding platforms that reflect all voices within a holistic approach grounded in rights and social justice.
