Gulf grants to Jordan exceed 329 million dollars

Approximately 329.37 million dollars have been withdrawn from a total grant of five billion USD sent by Gulf countries to fund developmental projects in the Hashemite kingdom.

These withdrawals include 1170 million USD worth of project grants from Kuwait, 666 million USD from Saudi Arabia, and 783 million USD from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The Supreme Council of the Arab Gulf States’ Cooperation Council decided at its 32nd convention in December 2011 to grant five billion American dollars for development projects in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 2012-2016. This amount will be split between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar, who will provide 1.25 billion USD each.
