Fruits, vegetables prices to increase during Ramadan

Mohammad Qteish, head of operations at the Amman Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables has expected that a slight increase on the prices of the items will take place during the holy month of Ramadan, insisting that such prices shall remain within the range and will not hit high levels.

Qteish said that such increase will be over few items only such as cucumber and tomato as people use it at the beginning of the month.

He added that there are no indication that such items will be missing during Ramadan as this time it comes in the season of producing good fruits and vegetable, specially the desert season.
