Minister of Finance Dr. Mohammad Abu Hammour said the government has decided on Saturday to extend the exemptions to increased taxes and fees granted to the real estate industry until June 2011, in an effort to assist in the revitalization of the Jordanian real estate sector. Other efforts have included easing the restrictions on transferring ownership of apartments, increasing the space of residential apartments, and eliminating the requirement to buy such apartments from a housing company.
