The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was subjected to a missile attack originating from Iranian territory over the past few hours.

The spokesperson explained that Jordanian air defense systems engaged 20 ballistic missiles launched toward Jordanian territory, successfully intercepting and destroying 18 of them, while two missiles landed in unpopulated areas.

The spokesperson emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army handled the threat in accordance with approved operational procedures to ensure the protection of the Kingdom's airspace and the safety of its citizens, noting that monitoring, tracking, and assessment operations remain ongoing.

According to field assessments, no casualties were recorded.

Specialized teams have begun securing the locations where debris and fragments fell, taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of surrounding areas.

The Armed Forces urged citizens not to approach, touch, or move any unknown objects or fragments, and to report them immediately to the competent authorities for their own safety and that of the response teams.

Furthermore, the Armed Forces stressed the importance of avoiding the spread of rumors or unverified information, relying solely on official statements as the authoritative source of information regarding the situation.

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army affirmed that its surveillance, early warning, and air defense systems are at the highest state of readiness to deal with any threat, with units continuing their round-the-clock duties to safeguard the Kingdom, its security, and air sovereignty.
